The right starting point for one placement
A single Google review stand is a practical fit when one customer handoff accounts for most visits, or when you want to test placement and staff adoption before expanding. It keeps the rollout simple: one physical unit, one assigned destination, and one team responsible for checking it.
Common placements include a reception desk at a clinic, a checkout counter at a store, a restaurant pickup point, or a customer-service desk after a request is resolved. Put the stand on a stable surface within comfortable reach, with the QR code unobstructed. The best placement feels like a helpful invitation after service—not a demand while a transaction is still in progress.
How NFC tap and QR scan work
The stand uses NFC and QR paths that open a managed WhyILike link. The account owner chooses the destination and can update it later without replacing the stand. A customer taps with a compatible NFC phone or scans the QR code, follows the destination, and independently decides whether and what to post.
The stand does not write, select a rating, or submit a review for the customer. Customers do not need to install a WhyILike app. NFC behavior varies with phone model and settings, while the visible QR code provides a familiar alternative.
Choose plain or custom-logo branding
Plain black and white stands are designed for a fast pilot or a standard WhyILike counter display. They normally leave our facility within two business days. Custom-logo black and white stands give you a display matched to your brand and normally leave within five business days after proof approval. Carrier transit is additional to both production windows.
For custom artwork, vector files are preferred and a high-resolution PNG is accepted. JPEG artwork is handled on a best-efforts basis because compression or insufficient resolution can affect print quality. A proof normally arrives within three business days, and one proof revision is included. Check the logo, spelling, color, and placement carefully because changes are not available after proof approval.

Built for a visible counter handoff
The display face measures 104 mm wide by 160 mm tall—approximately 4.1 by 6.3 inches—and uses PVC and PMMA construction with UV-printed artwork. The NFC element is passive, so the stand needs no battery, charging cable, or external power.
For routine care, remove loose dust with a soft cloth and use a gentle cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, direct spraying, and harsh chemicals.
Free link management and optional software
The stand’s destination can be managed through a free WhyILike account. Paid WhyILike software is optional and sold separately; it is not required to choose or use the hardware. You can start with the physical handoff and evaluate analytics, monitoring, response, and follow-up tools later.

Ask for an honest review
Offer the same opportunity consistently and let the customer decide. Do not promise a reward, request five stars, suggest what to write, or show the stand only to customers expected to be positive. A neutral staff script is: “If you’d like to share an honest review, you can tap or scan here.”
Shipping, returns, and replacement support
WhyILike currently ships stands within the contiguous United States. USPS is the primary carrier, although UPS or FedEx may be used when appropriate for the package or route.
An undamaged noncustom stand may be returned within 30 days. The customer pays return postage, and the refund is processed after the stand is received and inspected. Custom-logo stands are nonreturnable except for a confirmed defect, transit damage, or WhyILike production error.
The stand also includes a three-year replacement warranty for covered physical damage or NFC failure. Replacement—not a cash refund—is the warranty remedy. Loss, theft, intentional damage, misuse, unauthorized modifications, cosmetic wear, harsh-chemical damage, and behavior controlled solely by third-party phones, networks, internet connections, or Google services are excluded.
If one placement works well, compare the three-pack and five-pack for a wider rollout.
