Hardware with no required monthly fee
Current WhyILike stands use an editable managed redirect through a free account, so you can buy the hardware without committing to a monthly software fee.
The short answer
No paid software plan is required for current WhyILike stands.
A free account manages the stand's editable redirect. Optional software is available when you need more than the physical handoff.
Free hardware link vs. optional software
Every current stand includes the free account needed to manage its destination. Paid software expands the operating workflow; it is not required to keep the stand's managed link active while WhyILike operates.
| Capability | Free with current stand | Optional paid software |
|---|---|---|
| Manage the NFC and QR destination | Included | Included |
| Change the destination later | Included | Included |
| Tap, scan, and link-open analytics | Not included | Available |
| Review monitoring and responses | Not included | Available |
| Email, SMS, widgets, and social sharing | Not included | Available |
| Multilingual and multi-location workflows | Not included | Available |
A tap, scan, or link-open is an engagement event; it does not prove that a customer submitted a public review.

A five-point rollout for growing teams, larger spaces, and multiple locations.
For a current WhyILike stand, it means a free account controls the managed redirect without requiring a recurring paid software plan or charging a fee each time the destination changes. The redirect depends on the WhyILike service and the configured destination remaining available.
It does not mean the hardware, shipping, customization, replacement, or optional services are free. Current product prices and availability appear in the live store rather than being hard-coded into this guide.
The managed redirect is the link layer built into the current stand experience. A tap or scan opens the destination selected by the account owner. It is designed for businesses that want a simple, editable route without a paid subscription.
Optional WhyILike software is a separate layer for teams that want broader reputation workflows, such as tap and scan analytics, review monitoring and responses, email and SMS tools, widgets, social sharing, multilingual requests, multi-location management, or exports. Those features, plan limits, and billing terms belong with the software offer—not the hardware selector.
A tap, scan, or link-open event does not prove that a customer submitted a public review. No hardware or software can guarantee a rating, review count, or search ranking.
Choose a single Google review stand for one front desk, checkout, pickup point, or pilot location. Choose the three-pack for several counters or departments. Choose the five-pack for a larger space or small multi-location rollout.
If you need ten or more units, mixed branding, preconfiguration before shipment, or split shipping, use the bulk ordering guide and request a written quote.
The tap or scan reduces navigation steps. The customer still controls sign-in, whether to post, the rating, and what to write.
Consider software when the operating problem goes beyond opening one review destination—for example, when several locations need coordinated monitoring, responses, follow-up, reporting, or exports. Start with a specific problem and evaluate whether the available software features solve it.
You can begin with the free redirect and add paid software later without replacing or rewriting the hardware. If you cancel paid software, paid features follow the current cancellation terms while the free managed redirect remains available as long as WhyILike operates.
Compare the full deployment rather than the monthly fee alone: hardware quantity, custom artwork, shipping and taxes, staff training, replacement for lost items, and any optional software. The Google review stand collection shows current self-service pack pricing from the catalog.
A no-subscription stand is a link-access tool, not permission to manipulate reviews. Offer the same neutral opportunity consistently. Do not reward a review, request a particular rating, prewrite the response, or screen customers based on expected sentiment.
A straightforward script is: “If you’d like to leave an honest review, you can tap or scan here.” The customer should always be free to decline.
WhyILike ships current stand orders within the contiguous United States. Plain stands normally leave within two business days, and custom-logo stands normally leave within five business days after proof approval. Transit is additional.
Undamaged noncustom stands may be returned within 30 days with customer-paid return postage and a refund after receipt and inspection. Custom products are nonreturnable except for a confirmed defect, transit damage, or WhyILike production error. The three-year warranty remedy is replacement for covered physical damage or NFC failure.
